Maths, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Natural Sciences, Geography, Geology, Actuarial Science, Computer Science and IT (combined degrees are acceptable).
However, it isn’t just about academic qualifications, we are looking for people who demonstrate they have potential, we understand you are at the start of your career and we don’t expect the finished article. We are looking for people who want to learn, not people who think they already know it. We are looking for people with real personality who can handle pressure not only from deadlines but also from brokers so you will need to show that you have the relationship management and negotiation skills we are looking for, we want to see confidence but not arrogance. You will have:
- An outstanding academic record – strong numerical and analytical skills are essential
- The ability to build relationships and be self-aware
- Diligence and real attention to detail
- Self motivation and initiative
- Commercialism and an understanding of risk
We’ll also expect you to have actively researched the insurance and reinsurance industry, demonstrating a genuine interest in this career path.
